Tashi Delek! Welcome to Lhasa, the capital of Tibet Autonomous Region. After arriving at Gonggar International Airport or Lhasa Railway Station, your guide will present you with a khata (ceremonial scarf) and escort you to your hotel in the city centre (approx. 60 km from airport, 1-1.5 hours drive). After check-in, rest for the entire day to acclimatize to the high altitude. [High-Altitude Sickness Reminder] Avoid strenuous exercise on arrival day; do not shower that night; drink plenty of warm water and avoid alcohol and tobacco; inform your guide immediately if you feel unwell. [Foreign & Taiwan Visitors] Licensed guides must accompany you throughout your transfer.
